YMA Fashion Scholarship Fund has received a combined $75,000 grant from the William Randolph Hearst Foundation and the Hearst Foundation.

The grant is to fund projects related to the creation and implementation of the Hearst Winter and Summer Institute for fashion students who have won the YMA FSF scholarship and who are participating in their educational, internship and career pathway programs.

“The Hearst Foundation is proud to have chosen YMA Fashion Scholarship Fund as a 2016 grant recipient,” said George Irish, Eastern Director of Hearst Foundations. “It is our mission to identify and fund outstanding nonprofits to ensure that people have the opportunity to build healthy, productive and inspiring lives. By supporting education, youth, and the creative arts, YMA FSF is serving three areas we consider critical to the accomplishment of such a mission. We are thrilled to be supporting their efforts.”

“We are so honored and grateful to receive this generous grant from Hearst Foundations, “said Douglas Evans, Executive Director of YMA FSF. “The money will help us sustain and grow our valuable programs so that our talented fashion scholars from across the country are nurtured and offered pathways to their later careers within the fashion industry.”
