willy chavarriaAs part of New York Fashion Week: Men’s, designer Willy Chavarria presented his fall/winter 2018 collection, dubbed “Believers” at Pier 59 Studios on Monday, February 5.

The new collection tells the story of longing for truth and human connection in a chaotic and dark digital age. With a renewed concentration on realism as seen through the use of his models, approach to styling, and graphics, “Believers” is as much a statement of the state of the world as it is a hope for our future.

The season focuses on further evolving his signature oversized workwear silhouettes and utilizes a muted color palette of washed blacks and faded gray.

The collection includes a jewelry collaboration with Chrishabana, combining religious iconography, drug use, and the American incarceration system with a gold crucifix switchblade necklace and a sacred heart coke spoon. Footwear was provided this season by Florsheim.
