WILL.I.AM TO BE HONORED BY ACCESSORIES COUNCIL

The Accessories Council, which pays tribute to leading designers, retailers, journalists, celebrities and emerging brands who have made significant contributions to the accessories industry over the last year, has announced the honorees for its 21st annual ACE Awards. The ceremony will take place at Monday, August 7 at Cipriani 42nd Street in Manhattan.

Singer, philanthropist and fashion icon will.i. am, who is also the director of creative innovation of Intel, will be honored for his contributions to fashion and technology. He recently created the i.am+ foto.soho, an iPhone case that dramatically improves the quality and social aspects of the built-in camera, as well as dial, a smart wrist device.

In addition, PVH Corp will receive the group’s Sustainability Award (to be accepted by chairman and CEO Manny Chirico and senior vice president Melanie Steiner); while Polaroid Eyewear will receive the assocegacy award. Other winners include Kendra Scott, Loffeler Randall, Shopbob, and Monica Rich Kosann.

Past ACE award recipients and special guests have included Sarah Jessica Parker, Alexander Wang, Taraji P. Henson, Lady Gaga, Diane Von Furstenberg and Shinola, among many others.
