When will I see 2007 sales figures again?
Q: My business has been slowly building, but how long it will take to get back to the sales peak we saw in 2007?
A: We did a recent study at Blacks and found that specialty store sales fell off by 35% during the recession, and so far we’ve only gained half of that sales volume back in the last four years of recovery.
At this rate, we predict it will take another 3 to 5 years to get back to that 2007 peak. My advice is to plan your sales accordingly, and not to expect any big jumps. Slow and steady increases are the name of the game right now.
