What To Wear To Thanksgiving Dinner This Year

by MR Magazine Staff

Thanksgiving can sometimes feel like a placeholder holiday, halfway between Halloween’s costumes and candy and the full-blown assault of the Christmas/Chanukah/New Years commerce-driven, winter wonderland madness. It’s a big-ass meal dressed up as a holiday, and a chance to gather with family, stuff yourself, watch some football, and remind yourself why you moved away in the first place. What to wear is always an interesting concern this time of year, and varies depending on your circumstances. First time with meeting the parents? You better wear a collared shirt, young man. And while we may be OK with pants that have a little give in the waist, we’re definitely not OK with wearing sweats — or looking like a slob in general, for that matter. In fact, this year we endorse actually dressing up, i.e. embracing the swerve-y move to match the rest of the menswear madness that preceded it. Why not give Thanksgiving 2017 the crazy outfit it deserves? Bold colors, unexpected graphic prints, layers upon layers, bring it on. In this political climate, you can be assured your outfit will, for once, not be the most offensive thing discussed at dinner. See more at GQ.
