VINCE TAPS PATRIK ERVELL TO LEAD MEN’S DESIGN

Global luxury brand Vince is making efforts to bolster its men’s design team. The brand has appointed menswear designer Patrik Ervell to the newly created role of vice president of men’s design.

In this role, Ervell will oversee product design for both the men’s ready-to-wear and men’s accessories collections, reporting to senior vice president and creative director Caroline Belhumeur.

Ervell will be relocating to Los Angeles to work from the Vince design studio beginning in October. His first Vince men’s wear collection will debut in January for the fall 2018 season.

“With over 10 years’ experience at the helm of his own successful label, Patrik has undoubtedly had a profound impact on the men’s wear community,” said Belhumeur. “We’re excited for him to bring his unique perspective and vision to Vince in leading our men’s product design moving forward.”

“I’ve always admired Vince for its uncompromising commitment to quality and its clean, modern aesthetic,” added Ervell. “I look forward to working alongside Caroline and the rest of the team to evolve the men’s collection, while staying true to the Vince brand ethos of modern, luxurious design.”

Ervell debuted in 2005 at the New York City concept store Opening Ceremony. Upon winning the Ecco Domani Award for Menswear in 2007, he debuted his collection in his first runway show. Since then, Ervell has received nominations for the CFDA’s Swarovski Award for Menswear in 2008, 2009 and 2010. Ervell was the runner up for the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Award in 2009. And, In 2011 he was nominated for GQ‘s Best New Menswear Designer in America, and the CFDA Menswear Designer of the Year.
