New York City is expected to get hit with Winter Storm Juno as I write this, so it seems appropriate that one of my top trends for fall 2015 should be puffer jackets. It also seems like everyone I walk by on the street is wearing either a Moncler or Canada Goose jacket, so why not show customers something different for 2015? Here are few brands that are offering a unique take on the puffer trend.

Colmar is a 92-year-old, family-owned Italian brand. Fall 2015 marks its second winter season in the U.S., and the brand is already sold at stores like Atrium and Rothmans. Men’s styles retail mostly from $500 to $700, with reversible, removable fur trim styles for up to $900.

Ma.Strum is a full menswear collection with an emphasis on technical outerwear ($500 to $800 retail). This British company was founded in 2008, but fall 2015 marks its first season in the U.S. The collection boasts proprietary fabrics and packable, foil-lined styles perfectly mixing fashion with function.
