American fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger and art dealer Jeffrey Deitch celebrated the opening of the “Rock Style” exhibition in London on September 21, 2015. The exclusive launch event took place at Sotheby’s S|2 gallery, an innovative exhibition space that stages programming by both established and emerging contemporary artists. Hilfiger and Deitch have curated the exhibition together, and it will be on view at S|2 from September 22 to October 30, 2015.

The exhibition is inspired by the book Rock Style, originally published by Tommy Hilfiger and music journalist Anthony DeCurtis in 2000. From The Rolling Stones, The Beatles and Elvis Presley to Debbie Harry, the Ramones and Madonna. The exhibition, which coincides with the 30th anniversary of the Tommy Hilfiger brand, features iconic images of musicians captured by the leading music photographers of their respective eras

Well-known street artist, graphic designer and illustrator Shepard Fairey has also created specially-commissioned portraits of David Bowie, George Harrison, Deborah Harry, Jimi Hendrix, Joey Ramone and Sid Vicious for the exhibition.
