NEW YORK—Tommy Bahama opens its Manhattan flagship store tomorrow—its first global flagship. The store at 551 Fifth Avenue (at 45th Street) will be the largest Tommy Bahama store in the world.

The store will feature 5,000 sq. ft. of men’s, women’s and home decor retail space; 1,300 sq. ft. for the Marlin Bar; and 6,700 sq. ft. of space on the second floor for Tommy Bahama Restaurant and Bar. The store opens tomorrow, November 17, and the restaurant opens in December.

“We are excited to open our first New York City location on Fifth Avenue, one of the most prestigious shopping avenues in the world,” said CEO Terry Pillow. “This launch is especially significant as we celebrate 20 years in business and seek new ways to elevate our brand both in the US and internationally. It took us a long time to find the right space, but we are confident that this is the perfect location for us—New York’s Fifth Avenue is the epicenter of luxury, style and the heart of Midtown Manhattan.”

The Tommy Bahama Group, Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Oxford Industries, Inc. Tommy Bahama was founded in 1992 and is based in Seattle. The company operates more than 100 stores worldwide, 13 of which have a Tommy Bahama restaurant and bar.
