THE HEADWEAR ASSOCIATION NAMES AL ROKER 2015 HAT PERSON OF THE YEAR
TODAY Show anchor and weatherman Al Roker has been named the 2015 Hat Person of the Year by The Headwear Association (THA), a 107 year-old trade association.
Roker received 59% of the vote in an online poll, beating out stylish actress Jessica Alba (36%) and music superstars Bruno Mars (3%), Taylor Swift (2%), Justin Timberlake (1%) and Rihanna (1%).
Roker has regularly worn hats on air since 1990 when he joined the TODAY team. He has made hats, particularly panamas, trilbys and fedoras, part of his signature style for years.
Previous Hat Person of the Year winners include Pharrell Williams; Kate Moss; Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton; Johnny Depp; and Brad Pitt.
