Target Names Maiorino to Information Security Post
Target Corp. has hired Brad Maiorino as SVP and chief information security officer. He will report to the recently hired chief information officer Bob DeRodes.
Maiorino was chief information security and information technology risk officer at General Motors. Before that he held a similar position at General Electric.
“Having led this critical function at two of the country’s largest companies, Brad is widely recognized as one of the nation’s top leaders in the complex, evolving areas of information security and risk,” commented DeRodes in a statement. “As an organization, we have made a commitment to our guests and our team that Target will be a retail leader in information security and protection. We believe Brad is the right person to lead that charge.”
Target Corp. operates 1,924 stores in the U.S. and Canada.
