Swedish premium outerwear company Stutterheim Raincoats has opened its first U.S. store in New York at 232 Mulberry Street.

Located in the heart of NoLita, the 275-square-foot space carries an assortment of the brand’s iconic rainwear and rain accessories, ranging from the classic Stockholm rubberized cotton coat to the latest seasonal offerings, such as the Västertorp bomber jacket and Ture trench coat.

A collaboration between Stutterheim art director Andreas Bergman and designer Grant Blakeslee at the Bobby Redd agency, the store concept stays true to the company’s Scandinavian heritage with a minimalist design and is largely inspired by the brand’s new flagship store in the Södermalm area of Stockholm, which recently opened after outgrowing the original location a few doors down.

“As the U.S. is a very important market for us that continues to grow, opening our own store in New York feels like a natural next step for the brand,” said Johan Loman, Partner and Marketing Director. “Most importantly we will be able to show everything we do in one space.”
