LOS ANGELES – Syllables Inc. has been licensed to manufacture and market men’s sportswear under the urban dress-up brand Stacy Adams through the U.S., its territories and possessions.

Syllables will launch its Stacy Adams collection at the Stacy Adams Pavilion at the August 2006 MAGIC and will make first deliveries, for Spring 2007, next January.

“Partnering with the Stacy Adams brand is a good opportunity for us to expand our business on many levels,” said David Kang, president of Syllables. “We look forward to working together and being a part of this fine group of licensees.”

Stacy Adams said that Syllables was chosen as licensee “based on their reputation for quality affordability and design expertise for the urban dress-up market.” The company was founded in 1999.

Alan Stuart International was the former SA sportswear licensee and it will ship through the Fall 06 season. In addition to SA shoes, produced by brand owner Weyco, a total of nine licensees carry the brand in clothing, sportswear, dress shirts, hats, neckwear, socks, belts, jewelry and leathers.

Stacy Adams was founded by William H. Stacy and Henry L. Adams as the Stacy Adams Shoe Co. in 1875.
