Robert Stock is set to redefine menswear—again! The founder and former chairman of Robert Graham is launching a new luxury menswear collection called simply Robert. His partner in the venture is Thomas Main, former head of design at Robert Graham. The collection, comprising woven shirts, fine knitwear, sportcoats and outerwear, will be available exclusively online and only to those who join Robert’s Club. However, Stock confides that he might ultimately partner with a few upscale specialty stores who will carry the collection in capsule form. To get the word out, the new brand is advertising in several luxury publications and online.

Early in his career, Stock befriended and partnered with fellow Bronx-born designer Ralph Lauren, launching the Chaps collection; this was the first of many successful companies that Stock founded, including Country Britches, Country Roads, Robert Stock, Silk Road by Robert Stock and, in 2001, Robert Graham. Stock is known for his innate sense of what the modern man wants to wear; his expertise has been recognized with numerous industry awards including The CUTTY SARK, The COTY, Woolknit Design, and the AMY.

In October 2017, Stock retired from the company he founded with Graham Fowler and expresses gratitude to the clients, partners, employees, retailers and colleagues who were instrumental in its success. “It seemed like the right time for me to start something new, but I remain extremely proud of the role that Robert Graham has played in the evolution of men’s fashion over the past 17 years. I’m confident the brand will continue to serve its devoted clientele in the style to which they’ve grown accustomed and I wish the Robert Graham team—Bill Sweedler, Mike Buckley, Andrew Berg—continued success. They are like family to me and always will be.”
