Randa Names Katz Chief Marketing Officer

NEW YORK – David Katz has been promoted to senior vice president and chief marketing officer of Randa Accessories.

Katz was previously senior VP of Badanco Luggage, which was acquired by Randa in January. The post of chief marketing officer is new at Randa. Donna Rollins, who had been Randa’s senior VP of marketing and business development, has left the firm.

Katz reports to Jeffrey Spiegel, president of Randa, and Brad Kovaly, chief operating officer.

Spiegel commented, “David is a seasoned executive with an impeccable track record, whose renowned marketing experience will greatly enhance our strategic initiatives and global brand positioning.”

At Randa, his responsibilities include acquisition of domestic and international licenses, worldwide marketing, e-commerce and retail business development. At Badanco, he was responsible for management of the company’s brand portfolio, which includes Polo Ralph Lauren and Tommy Bahama, and also handled e-commerce and new business development.

Randa is a global marketer of men’s accessories and luggage. Its brand portfolio includes Polo Ralph Lauren, Trafalgar, Arrow, Ben Sherman, Tommy Bahama, Geoffrey Beene, Chaps, Columbia Sportswear, Dockers, Dickies, Izod, Levi’s, Donald J. Trump, Diane von Furstenberg, Liz Claiborne, Pierre Cardin and Van Heusen.
