Preparing for spring collections
Q: At our store, we carry both menswear and women’s wear. I read your advice about catching the first wave of the spring sales in menswear, but I was wondering when women’s women will start to move, and what we should be doing to take advantage of the next wave of sales in men’s.
A: Women’s wear has already started to pop with the new spring collections, so make sure these are up and center.
We expect the second wave of menswear sales to start in the beginning of March, which should play well with your trunk show calendar. It’s important that you get your second wave of spring deliveries in early if you want to catch the second wave. Connect with your vendors to make sure that you’ll be landing deliveries this month, if possible.
