Prep lifestyle brand Rowing Blazers is returning to its founder’s Jack Carlson’s hometown of Boston with the opening of a pop-up clubhouse on Newbury Street for one week only.

The Made-in-America menswear brand, launched earlier this year, is joining forces with an eclectic group of collaborators for its Boston clubhouse: ’90s-themed skate brand Paterson League; neo-prep guru F.E. Castleberry; and cult vintage shop Wooden Sleepers.

Expect the clubhouse to look very similar to the Rowing Blazers’ NYC pop-up in October: mint-colored walls adorned with a mix of vintage Babar prints; Rolls-Royce hubcaps; wooden trophy oars; and super-rare N.W.A. posters.

“We knew we wanted to do another pop up when we saw how great the response was to our New York pop up in October,” said Carlson. “We’re a young brand, and we like to play on the fence between prep and street; so we had no idea what to expect with the NYC pop up. But when we opened that shop on the first day, there was a line outside. We had rapper Vic Mensa come through, and legendary designer (and notorious preppie) Chip Kidd come through just minutes apart, to give you an idea of the vibe. Many of the rugby shirts and hats sold out much sooner than we expected. It was great and eclectic and people got it.”

“For our December pop up, we got a lead on a great space on Newbury Street in Boston, where I grew up,” added Carlson. “I used to go to Niketown and Ralph Lauren Rugby on Newbury as a kid. So this just felt right.”

In addition, Rowing Blazers will be dropping a number of new products, available at the pop-up or online at rowingblazers.com.

Rowing BlazersOne of the new products includes a kimono blazer that blends a classic navy blazer with the style of a traditional kimono to make a great standout item. Made-in-America Oxford shirts constructed without distressing will also make a debut at the pop-up, along with a yellow and black rugby shirt in a super heavyweight cotton jersey fabric with a laced placket.

The Rowing Blazers Clubhouse will be open from Tuesday, December 12 to Sunday, December 17, at 220 Newbury Street in Boston.
