PILOTI TO UNVEIL NEW LUXURY FOOTWEAR LINE AT MRKET LAS VEGAS
A long-time favorite of motorsport drivers and automotive enthusiasts, Piloti has expanded to include made-in-Italy driving shoes.
In addition to classic automotive apparel, Piloti offers performance, casual and now luxury lines of footwear, each tailored to meet the specific needs of drivers. The made-in-Italy luxury line will make its formal American debut at the 2016 MRket show, August 15-17 in Las Vegas.
“We are excited to introduce Piloti luxury driving shoes to the discerning industry leaders gathered at MRket,” said Michelle Massicotte, managing director at Piloti. “The Piloti point of difference is the fusion of Italian design with our patented biomechanics and a motorsport-inspired style born at the track.”
Crafted in Italy, the luxury line of premium leather driving shoes perform equally well in the car and at the office. The Primo and Campione styles include Piloti’s Roll Control Heel technology and fuse Italian design, racing style, and Piloti’s patented biomechanics. The clean and classic Officina luxe loafer offers flexibility, comfort and versatility. Lightweight and impeccably crafted, the mid-cut Mille features tumbled leather with tonal suede and shares the vintage racing tire-inspired tread pattern found on all Piloti driving shoes.
A popular brand from 1999 to 2012, Piloti (Italian for “driver”) re-entered the marketplace in 2014 with a new vision to not only create technically advanced driving shoes, but also driving shoes comfortable and stylish enough to wear on the street, at the cafe or in the office.
“The rounded sole design on every pair of Piloti driving shoes mimics the shape of a driver’s heel, allowing the foot to move more naturally,” added Massicotte. “Not only does this design enable very smooth pedal transitions and techniques like heel-and-toe downshifting, it also provides grip and reduces fatigue during long stints behind the wheel.”
