PERRY ELLIS TO ASSUME CONTROL OF BOTTOMS & ACCESSORIES BIZ IN CANADA
Perry Ellis is bringing its Canadian men’s bottoms and accessories categories back in-house parent company Perry Ellis International, Inc. announced today.
Its current license agreement for the categories with Grand National Apparel, Inc. expires on December 31, 2015. PEI will assume control and start shipping products in January 2016 for spring deliveries.
“While PEI appreciates the efforts and the fine work of Grand National, this is another step in achieving our strategic initiative to expand our profitable international direct business,” said chairman and CEO George Feldenkreis in a statement. “Canada is a growing market for our company and we believe we can leverage our Canadian platform and serve our customer base directly within our core competencies.”
