Pecore Joins Lacoste

NEW YORK – Doug Pecore has joined Lacoste USA as vice president of wholesale.
He most recently spent three years as vice president of sales and marketing at Capital Mercury Apparel, where his accomplishments included the launch and management of the NYNE lifestyle brand. Prior to that he spent 16 years at Levi Strauss & Co. in a variety of sales and management roles.
Pecore will have responsibility for all aspects of Lacoste’s wholesale business and will report to Robert Siegel, chairman of Lacoste USA. Siegel and Pecore were earlier associated at Levi’s.
The Lacoste brand dates back to 1933, when Rene Lacoste introduced the classic polo as a comfortable substitute for the starched long-sleeved shirts favored in tennis at the time.
