Pantone Universe Colorwear at Barneys
The latest limited-edition collaboration to hit the menswear scene: Pantone Universe Colorwear apparel collection, which launched exclusively at Barneys Miami during Art Basel in December. The collection comprises T-shirts, tanks, pants, shorts, sweaters, polo shirts, hoodies, jackets, cardigans and accessories, sold until February.
“We were attracted to the Pantone apparel project owing to the purity of the Pantone brand DNA and the natural synergy with the art world,” said Tom Kalenderian, EVP and general merchandise manager of men’s and Chelsea Passage at Barneys New York, in a press release. “The opportunity to launch these products in Miami during Art Basel, in tandem with the announcement of Pantone’s Color of the Year, seemed like perfect timing. (Editor’s note: Pantone announced Radical Orchid as its 2014 Color of the Year during Art Basel.) The apparel collection is focused on swimwear, T-shirts and windbreakers, all great essentials for the resort lifestyle of Miami in this quarter of the year.”
