Title of WorkLuxury men’s accessories brand Title of Work will open its first flagship store in the Lower East Side neighborhood of New York City. Fresh off its tenure as a 2018 resident of the CFDA’s Retail Lab at Cadillac House, and in celebration of its 15th season, the brand’s first official store is set to open on Tuesday, October 16 at 57 Orchard Street.

The brand’s new retail storefront will coexist within the space of its in-house atelier, which will give clients the opportunity to view individual pieces being constructed in real time and in accordance with couture atelier standards. The opening of the store will mark Title of Work’s evolution into a completely vertical business where production, operations, digital and retail all occur in the same location.

“Historically, the Lower East Side was the garment manufacturing capital in the 19th century, and many of the residents of the neighborhood – particularly on Orchard Street – worked in their homes constructing garments by hand,” said Jonathan Meizler, Title of Work founder. “The opening of our flagship store and atelier is a nod to the rich history of handmade craftsmanship of the neighborhood, and its melting pot of diversity is often reflected in many of the themes of our collections.”

Title of Work will launch its autumn/winter 2018 collection in tandem with the opening of the store, along with a limited revival of classic pieces from its archives. The brand, which began as a collection of beaded and embroidered neckwear, also offers bowties, cufflinks, tie bars, pocket squares, scarves, a full line of jewelry including bracelets, necklaces and rings, gloves, and most recently expanded its offering to include socks. Small capsule collections will be launched throughout the year in the retail space in order to test the market with new ideas that will then flourish into full collections in the future. Each Title of Work piece is skillfully crafted and individually created in New York City.
