Premium sunglass maker Maui Jim has tapped Jace Lipstein, founder and designer of men’s lifestyle brand Grungy Gentleman, as the latest addition to its team of worldwide brand ambassadors. The announcement follows Maui Jim’s sponsorship of Grungy Gentleman’s past three runway shows, including the most recent one on July 14 at New York Fashion Week: Men’s.

“Maui Jim has been known for producing amazing lenses since the brand was founded in the ’80s, but it has recently launched a variety of fashionable new designs using advanced frame materials,” said Craig LaManna, director of global brand activation at Maui Jim. “As a true lifestyle brand with over 125 styles, Maui Jim has many options that can work really well in the fashion world. Jace has been fantastic to work with and we are happy that he is part of our Maui Jim ‘Ohana (family).”

“Eyewear is very specific because of fit and comfort. These two attributes are exactly what Maui Jim excels in,” added Lipstein. “When I am rocking my Flat Island, it fits my face perfectly and I can wear them for hours without noticing they are sitting on my ears. Their lens quality is superior to any other pair that I have ever worn. I am able to see the outside world in vivid color.”

Founded in 2010, Grungy Gentleman combines fashion, sports and entertainment, promoting the expression of individuality to both fashion and urban cultures.
