Jos. A. Bank Promotes Merry to EVP
HAMPSTEAD, Md. – Jos. A. Bank Clothiers, Inc. has promoted senior vice president of operations Gary Merry to executive vice president. Executive vice president Robert B. Hensley will continue as such, but will hand store and catalog operations over to Merry, instead focusing more on store expansion and on his role as human resources head.
Merry, who will also continue as chief information officer, has been with the company since 2000, serving in a variety of leadership positions.
In a statement, CEO Robert N. Wildrick said: “As we continue toward our goal of operating more than 500 stores, we are fortunate to be able to expand and focus our management team with executives of the caliber of Gary and Bob. They have both been integral to the growth of the company and we expect that they will continue to play essential roles in the accomplishment of our Company’s long-term goals.”
Jos. A. Bank currently operates 391 stores in 42 states. The company started in 1905.
