JOHN VARVATOS RAISES $800,000 AT STAR-STUDDED STUART HOUSE BENEFIT
Designer John Varvatos hosted the 13th Annual Stuart House Benefit, presented by the Chrysler brand, at his Los Angeles boutique on Sunday, April 17 and raised $800,000 for Stuart House – the UCLA Rape Treatment Center’s internationally recognized model program serving sexually abused children.
The day treated more than 1,500 guests, including such celebrities as Jeremy Piven, Tony Goldwyn, Ginnifer Goodwin, Josh Dallas, Peter Facinelli, Gene Simmons, Natalie Morales, Melina Kanakaredes, Bob Harper and Hale Appleman, to an afternoon of luxury shopping, live and silent auctions, great food and fun-filled children’s activities in the Hasbro Studios kids’ tent. The event’s emcee, Bill Bellamy, also hosted a live auction, and there was a special live performance by rock music legend Sammy Hagar with Michael Anthony, Chad Smith & Vic Johnson.
“I am honored to have the iconic artist, Sammy Hagar, perform on this exceptional day, to support the kids. I’m also very proud to of our long term relationship with Stuart House,” said Varvatos. “Since we launched it in 2002 the benefit has raised over $7 million. Last year, we raised more than $1.175 million. With the $800,000 we raised today’s we plan to beat last year’s total when the online auction closes on April 26.”

I applaud the important work they’re doing and will continue to support Stuart house in the future.”
To contribute to the cause beyond the LA-based event, the Stuart House Benefit also features an online auction over more than 100 exclusive experiences with Charitybuzz.com, to run through Tuesday, April 26, Items up for bid include a meet and greet with LL Cool J & Chrissy Teigen, along with three tickets to a live taping of Lip Sync Battle in NYC or LA, a five-night stay at the Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea, or a one-week stay at L’Aumonerie Villa (The Alms House) in a medieval village near Monaco.
