Island Company has opened its 3,500-square-foot renovated store at the Ritz-Carlton, Fort Lauderdale, the retailer’s largest shop to date. It is the company’s first property located within a resort.

The company, which was founded in 2002, is known its men’s and women’s linen collections, swimwear, travel apparel, eyewear, and accessories. It has freestanding retail locations in such places as Palm Beach, Nantucket, Martha’s Vineyard, Naples, and Grand Cayman, and its products are sold at a variety of boutiques.

“We have been selling to Ritz-Carlton properties for over 10 years,” explains Island Company founder Spencer Antle. “We’ve kept Island Company exclusive, building it in locations where the brand is special. Experience is paramount, product is secondary, quality is a given. The Ritz-Carlton needed the complete Island Company experience and I think this store fully embodies our ideals.”

Adds Greg Cook, The Ritz-Carlton, Fort Lauderdale’s general manager: “Island Company is the perfect partner for The Ritz-Carlton, Fort Lauderdale, as it shares the beach frontage with our new restaurant, Burlock Coast, and the re-positioning of our resort. They both represent the South Florida Lifestyle that we are all fortunate enough to live and at the same time provide to our guest and locals alike.”
