How much to buy into neon color trends
Q: I just went to the New York menswear shows and noticed neon colors everywhere. Since this was the only real newness I saw, how much should I buy?
A: This is a good question. As we know, color trends can be a real catalyst for sales. But since this trend is very highly colored, you have to consider your clientele before you buy.
So, if you have a more fashionable, younger store you should definitely buy into this trend. On the other hand, if you have a more classic, conservative store, look for items with more subtle color details, such as colorful neckwear that can serve as a highlight to a more conservative look.
It’s always great to have new colors to show and work with, but make sure that they fit into the lifestyle of your customer.
