Headwear Group Honors Three

NEW YORK – The Headwear Association marked the start of its 100th year at its annual dinner at Tavern on the Green here on March 15.

Honorary speaker John Milano, founder of Milano Hats, received the Ben Rosenthal Award, outgoing THA president Wilson King, of Outback Trading Co., was honored with the David Lieberman Award, and Bob Goodman of Just Hats received kudos as the Annual Hat Retail of the Year.

The Headwear Association is one of the oldest association of its kind in the U.S., dating back to its first meeting in New York at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel on Jan. 30, 1908.

At this year’s event, headwear was again on the minds of just about everyone in attendance.
