Givenchy’s Menswear Hits Its Stride For Spring/Summer ‘19

Riding high on a the crest of a wave after designing the Duchess Of Sussex’s much talked about wedding dress earlier this year, it was clear from her Spring/Summer ‘19 offering – shown in Paris earlier this week – that Givenchy’s creative director Clare Waight Keller has been emboldened by the increased public visibility. Building on the idea of the Givenchy couple set out in her past two seasons (her only two seasons) at the brand, the collection was on-point and ungendered, centring on the notion, as it did, of “him in her shirt” or “her in his jacket”.
