Struggling Berlin-based trade show operator Bread & Butter, which filed for bankruptcy last December, has a new stakeholder: Zalando, a German e-commerce retailer.

According to reports in the German press, Bread & Butter will keep its July 7-9 show in Berlin as scheduled but the next show may be focused on consumers, rather than the trade. Founder Karl-Heinz Müller had suggested opening the show to consumers last year, but it never happened.

Müller is expected to stay on with Bread & Butter.

Zalando was founded in Berlin in 2008 and sells more than 1,500 men’s, women’s and children’s brands online to consumers in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Luxemburg, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Sweden, Switzerland, Spain and the U.K.
