American heritage brand, Gant, launched its House of Gant collection Thursday night at New York Fashion Week’s new home, Spring Studios. The celebrity filled event welcomed guests into a mirrored funhouse-esque room full of models in your new favorite uniform: white oxford woven shirts, light washed denim and the classic Stan Smith sneakers by adidas.

Kate Bosworth, Andy Cohen, and many other fashion insiders were in attendance to celebrate the launch of the brand’s new Spring 2016 collection, which will now have three sub brands; Gant Originals, Gant Diamond G, and Gant Rugger. Each of these lines build off of one another, all leading back to the original heritage of what makes Gant a true American sportswear brand.

Gant Creative Director, Christopher Bastin notes, “We found our inspiration in the clean lines of the Beinecke Library (Yale University’s esteemed rare book and manuscript library), as well as the intellectual energy on campuses all over the U.S. and the great things that come from it.”

The Ivy League, great American university influence is evident throughout the three collections, but is especially apparent in Gant’s newest division: Gant Diamond G. Tailored chinos paired with knits and classic outerwear shapes add a monochromatic sophistication to your typical university wares. Additionally, Gant Diamond G offers casual wear such as a cashmere hoodie featured with a pocket T-shirt, sweatpants, and a linen scarf. In stark contrast, Gant Original’s offers consumers a brighter color palette of casual American sportswear with sailor stripes and nautical influences. Gant’s more contemporary line, Gant Rugger offers modern silhouettes and construction to the mix, with one of the stronger looks featuring patched denim shorts and sport coat paired with an easy striped woven with a linen tee. Another standout look from Gant Rugger features a suede work jacket, madras striped shirt, and a pinstriped jacquard pant.

The new and unified House of Gant stuck to its American heritage roots and is off to a very wearable and strong start.
