FryeThe Frye Company recently celebrated its new Meet our Makers campaign at its San Francisco store at 2047 Fillmore Street, its first West Coast shop. At the event, the 153-year-old company, long known for its signature boots, celebrated such local San Francisco-based companies as Smitten Ice Cream, Anchor Brewing Co., Mission Bicycle Co., Mr. Holmes Bakehouse and Western Editions.

The Meet our Makers campaign is a “docu-gram” series which honors the artisans who continue to handcraft their product in this machine-made age.

The 900-square-foot store, which officially opened earlier this month, includes an interactive “Maker Wall,” which features a library of leather swatches, a leather gallery wall, and an inspiration board. Customers may try on Frye product in-store or shop from the collection via the Maker Wall, and then, create a “wish list” of product that can be sent to their mobile device using RIFD technology.
