Flores New TJX HR Chief

NEW YORK – Greg Flores has joined The TJX Companies as executive vice president and chief human resources officer. He succeeds Bruce Margolis, who left the firm earlier this year.

Most recently, Flores served as senior VP for human resources, communications and research at Reed Business Information. He’s also held HR posts with Daymon Worldwide, Thriftway Food & Drug Inc., H.E. Butt Grocery Co. and PepsiCo.

Ben Cammarata, chairman and acting chief executive of the Framingham, Mass.-based retail firm, said, “A primary focus of Greg’s will be overseeing the recruitment, development and retention of top-notch diverse talent throughout TJX.”

TJX is the largest off-price retailer of apparel and home products in the U.S. and operates 826 T.J. Maxx, 751 Marshalls, 271 HomeGoods, 162 A.J. Wright and 36 Bob’s Stores units in the U.S. in addition to 184 Winners and 68 HomeSense stores in Canada and 212 T.K. Maxx stores in Europe.

TJX’s sales for the first nine months of the current fiscal year totaled $8.25 billion.
