Fatherly Tribute for PVH’s Sirkin
NEW YORK – Allen Sirkin, president and chief operating officer of Phillips-Van Heusen Corp., will become only the third individual to receive both the Milton Margolis Humanitarian Award and Father of the Year honors at this year’s National Father of the Year Awards lunch.
The luncheon is scheduled for June 7 at the Sheraton New York Hotel’s Metropolitan Ballroom.

Richard Wurtzburger, chairman of the National Father’s Day Committee and senior vice president of Peerless Clothing, said the group will announce additional recipients of the Father of the Year award shortly and that it’s conducting a search for its annual “All-Star Dad,” sponsored by Men’s Health Magazine and The Sani Family Foundation.
Sirkin has spent more than four decades in the apparel industry, including 24 years with PVH. He spent 10 years supervising its wholesale operations before being promoted to president and COO last March. He and his wife Bonnie have two children, Ami and David, and three grandchildren.
