Kip-Tindell_1500px_verticalKip Tindell, the CEO of The Container Store, has been elected chairman of the National Retail Federation’s board and chairman of its executive committee. He succeeds former Saks CEO Steve Sadove. Mindy Grossman has been named vice chair. Tindell and Grossman will serve two-year terms.

“NRF, its staff and the industry at large will benefit greatly from Kip’s dedication, professionalism and leadership over the next two years as we already have for the time he’s been a part of NRF’s board of directors,” said NRF CEO Matthew Shay. “We are honored to welcome our new chairman and our newly – and re-elected board members as we continue to work with Capitol Hill on policies that directly impact one of the biggest industries in the world, while simultaneously learning more about the constantly-changing retail landscape.”
