BRITISH FASHION COUNCIL ANNOUNCES 2015 NOMINEES OF THE BRITISH FASHION AWARDS

Jonathan Anderson, Womenswear and Menswear Designer of the Year Nominee

The British Fashion Council has announced this year’s nominees for the prestigious British Fashion Awards, which are set to take place on November 23 at the London Coliseum.

Jonathan Anderson leads the nominations, with the BFC nominating him for both the Womenswear and Menswear Designer of the Year categories for his J.W. Anderson label. Anderson will be up against Tom Ford and E. Tautz for the menswear award, and Victoria Beckham and Christopher Kane for the womenswear award.

Astrid Andersen, Grace Wales Bonner and Mr. Hare are all nominated for this year’s Emerging Menswear Designer award, while contemporary menswear designer Craig Green gets a nod in the New and Established category. Paul Smith and Margaret Howell are nominated in the Establishment Designer category.

Natalie Massenet MBE, chairman of the BFC, said in a statement, “We are incredibly excited about this year’s British Fashion Awards, and delighted to be working in partnership once again with Swarovski. This annual event is fast becoming one of the highlights of the global fashion calendar. The awards recognize the incredible talent we are so fortunate to work with and celebrate the excellence and creativity within our industry both at home and abroad.”
