American Field Takes New York

by Harry Sheff

American Field is on the move. This Boston-born, American-made market, produced by Ball and Buck’s Mark Bollman is popping up in Brooklyn this weekend (November 21 and 22).

Bollman launched American Field three years ago, and now with over 75 brands (including Shinola, Randolph Engineering and Cockpit), Bollman says it’s not only a pop-up market, but a celebration of the people behind the brands. He describes his concept on the American Field site: “We hope to empower consumers to make educated decisions about how they can rebuild the American Economy. If every consumer spent just 5% more on USA-made goods, they would help create nearly 1,000,000 American jobs.”

At American Field, people can meet the makers behind the brands, watch demonstrations on how things are made, and purchase goods. There will also be a pig roast and cold beer from Narragansett Brewery.
