American Apparel Names Thoryn Stephens Chief Digitial Officer

American Apparel American Apparel has named Thoryn Stephens chief digital officer, a new position. Stephens joins the company from Tillster, a company that worked with restaurants on customer engagement, where he was VP of data science. As chief digital officer, Stephens will work on digital marketing data analytics, and e-commerce strategies.

The company also named former Perry Ellis International executive Cynthia Erland to the position of SVP of marketing.

“I am excited to welcome Thoryn and Cynthia to the Company,” said American Apparel CEO Paula Schneider. “Both are innovators with deep expertise working with established brands. They will be an important addition to our experienced, creative, and passionate team.”
