ALEXANDER SKARSGÅRD TO PRESENT CFDA MENSWEAR DESIGNER OF THE YEAR AWARD
The Council of Fashion Designers of America has announced the award presenters for the 2016 CFDA Fashion Awards that will take place on June 6 at New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom.
Alexander Skarsgård will present the Menswear Designer of the Year; Claire Danes will do the honors for Womenswear Designer of the Year, and Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson are the presenters for the Accessory Designer of the Year category. Additionally, actor Ansel Elgort will be joined by supermodel Karlie Kloss in presenting the Swarovski Awards for Womenswear, Menswear and Accessory Design.
As previously reported by MR, Joel McHale will host the evening, with special performances by Jennifer Hudson and Michael C. Hall. Hall’s performance will honor David Bowie, who is receiving the Board of Directors’ Tribute Award. Tilda Swinton will be accepting the award on behalf of the late artist.
The CFDA has also announced that the official after-party will be co-hosted by Samsung at its Samsung 837 experiential flagship location.
